“Arian is currently a Biological Sciences major with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior at UC Davis. In between classes he does personal and commissioned visual design work. He has always found parallels between art and the sciences so a lot of his studies find their way into his artwork. Aside from design work, Arian interns at the Same Day Surgery Center at the UCD Medical Center and does research at the Carraway/Sweeney Cancer Lab.”

Over a period of several years Ingeborg Morath collaborated with Saul Steinberg on a series of portraits, inviting individuals and groups of people to pose for Morath wearing Steinberg’s masks. What a great thing! I think I’m gonna paint some paperbags for next halloween!

“Since graduating from Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, in the early 1960s Christine has exhibited widely at the public institutions, winning many major awards. The Teacher’s Whiskey Travel Scholarship Prize in 1995 allowed her the luxury of foreign travel for the sole purpose of artistic inspiration. A subsequent series of journeys to Morocco, Tunisia and Italy have left a lasting impression on her painting style. She has been elected a member of both the Royal Glasgow Institute and the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour. Her paintings hang in many corporate collections, notably a major group at the Royal Bank of Scotland, London and a commission for P & O’s latest cruise ship the Arcadia. In our current show Christine draws on her recent trips to Italy, placing her familiar still life and dove compositions before a dramatic window-framed vista of Tuscan or Umbrian landscape.”

via David Gómez

“David Gómez (Alicante, Spain 1984) is a photographer/ illustrator based in Barcelona. Influenced by the drawings of his father – a shoe designer and having spent his childhood among sketches and fashion David graduated in fine arts. He early on felt a need to explore and experiment with new techniques and ways of expression – both on paper and in photography.
Inspired by indigenous, tribes and mystical cultures, David photographs and illustrates his own tribe, portraits full of personality with multi colored masks and geometrical patterns that make them unique and inimitable.”
